Give us a King! No, not that King!

The books of first and second Samuel introduce us to the first two human kings of the Nation of Israel in the persons of Saul and David. It’s a powerful story of quickly we can lose sight of what God desires for us when we insist that our ways are better than God’s. We also see the stark contrast in the character of these two kings, and how it impacts their failure, and success.

How quick we forget!

In the Beginning
